Stonebwoy bound to leave Zylofon

The Hero of Ghana’s dancehall, Stonebwoy would be leaving Zylofon Music sooner then expected, a source told ikonzgh.ml
According to the source who spoke to Asembi.com on condition of anonymity, plans are far advanced for the the BHIM Nation and the giant record label to part ways.
“I don’t know details of their contract but definitely it gives room for one to withdraw at anytime. Sometimes contracts are put aside for matters to be handled amicably” – the source said.
The source however refused to give details of what is causing the sudden end of a beautiful working relationship but the grand signing of Shatta Wale by the label could be one of the many factors despite Zylofon Media apologising for the occurrence.
“We apologise to fans of Stonebwoy for that. Nobody intends to give prominence to one over other artiste.” – Sammy Baah, spokesperson for Zylofon Media told Abusuah FM that all artist are their priority and not only Shatta Wale.
The BET award winner was signed in June 2017 at the plush premises of the media company at East Legon.
Explaining the purpose behind the signing of Stonebwoy, CEO of Zylofon Media Nana Appiah Mensah said the company was attracted to Stonebwoy’s musical talent and intellect. According to him Stonebwoy has great and unmatched music talent and is suitable for any platform in the world.

THIS IS MYSTERIOUS: EBONY, SUZZY WILLIAMS, TERRI BONECHAKA, ALL DIED ON THURSDAY: ALL IN A CAR CRASH

TERRI BONECHAKA( 1982 – 30 October 2003)
Talented hiplife artist, Terry Adjetey, popularly known as Terri BoneChaka, is dead. He died in a motor accident at the Tetteh Quashie roundabout in Accra at around 3am today. He was returning home after performing at legon, Akuafo Hall celebration.

According to unconfirmed reports, Terri, who was still learning to drive, veered off the road and hit a tree in an attempt to overtake. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

According to JOYFM, Terry took the risk to drive, after realizing that his driver was drunk. He allegedly called a few friends to pick him up because of his driver’s condition, but when all efforts proved futile, he took the risk, only to meet his untimely death.

Bonchaka was a Ga from La and the third of four children. He attended Ewit Greenwich Classical Academy and Adisadel College (he doesn’t stop reminding everyone that he is a Santaclausian). Aside music he loves playing table tennis, writing poems and reading the Bible. Though he sings about banku, fufu, gyigyi and the likes he loves boiled yam and kontomere stew.

Graphic Version
Minutes after performing at the Akuafo Hall of the University of Ghana, early last Friday, in a Hall Week Celebration, 21 year old Terry Bonchaka, a popular Hiplife Artiste, died.
He died in a fatal accident on the Legon-Madina road when the vehicle in which he was riding, together with one Rasta, suddenly veered off the road and hit a tree.

Giving an eye-witness account, a member of his group, Ayisola, said he and two other members of Bonchaka's group who were closely following Bonchaka's car in a taxi, immediately rushed to the rescue of the Hiplife Artiste and one other Rasta.

He said Terry, unlike Rasta, was brought out of the car unconscious. Meanwhile the taxi driver who had been told to wait while the rescue operation took place, had left.

About 30 minutes later, according to Ayisoba, a good Samaritan stopped his car to transport them to the hospital. This was after several other drivers had ignored their flagging to stop to help.

Sadly, Terry Bonchaka was pronounced dead when he was taken to the 37 Military Hospital, grief striken Ayisoba said. [Published by Ghanaweb]

SUZZY WILLIAMS(died September 8, 2005, aged 23)
She was a well-known Ghanaian television and film actress. Notable movies include Bloody Mary, Calamity, The Comforter and Mother’s Heart. Her career as an actress was launched through the African hit film Together Forever, with a screenplay by US-based Ghanaian producer and screenwriter Leila Djansi.
She attended Tema Secondary School, where she was a member of the drama group and both sang in entertainment programmes and acted plays.
She died in a car crash in Accra at the age of 23. Because of her popularity, Ghana’s Art Centre refused to allow her body to lie in state, fearing it would be unable to accommodate the large numbers of mourners expected. A memorial fund has been launched in her memory, The Suzzy Williams Memorial Fund to aid victims of road traffic accidents. She was one of actress Nana Ama Mcbrown‘s best friends.

EBONY REIGNS(DIED FEBUARY 8, 2018)

The Afrobeat and Dancehall performer – real name Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng – was driving to Accra following a trip to Sunyani with two friends.
The Ghanaian musician was rushed to Bechem Government Hospital, where she was treated but later died from her injuries.
Her two friends were also killed in the crash, while the driver of the bus is still being treated in hospital.

RICHIE WARNS GHANAIANS NOT TO BRING DOWN KUAMI EUGENE'S CAREER

The most trendy storries that have made wave this month involve the breaking news about Kuami Eugene of which he was accused of stealing a song from Sidiki Diabate. Finally, the C.E.O of Lynx Entertainment, Richard Mensah Known in the showbiz as Richie has spoken about this issue. He said nothing but pleaded with Ghanaians not to bring down the spirit of his artist.

The boss of Lynx Entertainment is of the view that those criticisms aren’t fair to Kuami Eugene because he has put in much effort to come this far.
“Kuami Eugene is very good I must confess. He is very hardworking and does not play with his career, I know what I am talking about.
He has passion and you can see music is all he’s got so for someone to say that, I think it is not fair.

These things go a long way to affect the person’s credibility which he has worked on for a very long time.

Now when you google his name, you will see tags of him accused of stealing someone’s song which is not good at all,” Richie said.

Kuami Eugene in responds to this accusation said, he didn't steal Sikidi's song but he rather took inspiration from it. And not only his song did he take that inspiration, he took some from Kwadwo Antwi's song as well. Ebony took inspiration from Daddy Lumba's song no one said she stole the song. I did the same but I have been accused of stealing. He stated.

Isn’t that supposed to be a mark of creativity? Besides, I credited them, in fact, that morning I released the song, I tweeted at these people, telling them how the beats in their songs inspired my Confusion song and I thanked them for the release of great tunes,” he concluded.

PASTOR PREDICTED THE DEATH OF EBONY IN 2017

A few hours ago, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church, Agyei Fredua Agyeman posted this on his facebook timeline.

A post of the prophet on Facebook in 2017 suggests that he spoke about the artiste saying she was going to be taken away from the industry by God in the shortest possible time.
His post read “Ebony Reigns has no future in the music industry. God will soon strike her down”.
The artiste who was influential throughout last year was expected to continue producing such splendid music and hit songs this year. She was tipped by industry players to be the first female artiste who will be crowned the artiste of the year at this year’s Vodafone Ghana  Music Awards.
However, the artiste met her untimely death when she together with some members of her crew were rushing from Bechem to catch a flight to Belgium where she was expected to headline Ghana Meets Naija together with EL and Olamide.
